The Lochness Monster

One day I was on my way to Lincoln (between Syracuse and Lincoln) and in the middle of a pond (or low, water collecting spot), in the middle of a pasture I saw the Lochness Monster - or at least his Midwestern cousin.

Nebraska Winter

The winter of 2009-2010 was one of the worst winters in SE Nebraska, according to the old timers. There were several large snow storms that dropped a lot of snow, and a lot of cold days. Below are some pictures I took this winter:

On a warmer day, there was a considerable amount of ice moving down the rivers!




The site of the first oil well in NE was in Falls City!

Overall, a cold and foggy day -- and winter!
